Conference Grants: Women In STEM
The Center for Natural and Applied Sciences has provided conference grants to female students and early-career researchers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in Nepal. These grants have enabled them to participate and present their research at various national and international conferences. This initiative is part of the “Capacity Building of Female Students/Researchers in the STEM Field in Nepal” project, supported by the Humboldt Foundation, Germany. The main goal of the conference grants is to increase female participation in conferences and to inspire, encourage, and promote more girls and women in STEM.
ICB Conference Grant

SASME Conference Grant
In November 2023, five grants were awarded for participation and presentation at the “Second South Asian Symposium on Microbial Ecology from November 1-3, 2023, in Dhulikhel, Nepal”.
The conference awardees were Ms. Charu Arjyal, Ms. Anima Shrestha, Ms. Khusbhu, Jaiswal, Ms Srashta Regmi and Ms. Pratiksha Sharma
Program Highlights
RISTI Conference Grant
In February 2024, five grants were given for participation in the Conference on “Recent Trends in Science, Technology, and Innovation (RTISTI) on February 22-23, 2024, at the Institute of Forestry Pokhara Campus (IOF PC), Pokhara”.
The conference awardees were Ms. Akriti Kafle Baral, Ms. Bismita Aryal, Ms.Durga Karki, Ms. Susma Subedi and Ms.Prativa Bhandari

ICBB Conference Grant
In April 2024, five conference grants were awarded for participation and presentation at the “5th International Conference on Bioscience and Biotechnology (ICBB-2024) from April 21-24, 2024, at Godavari Village Resort, Godawari, Lalitpur, Nepal”
The conference awardees were Ms. Sarita Lawaju, Ms. Sushma Gautam, Ms. Pooja Shrestha, Ms. Aishwarya Pulami, and Ms. Sharmila Tamang.
